HR Manager (m/f/x)

We are looking for an experienced HR Manager to join the team in the greater area of Dusseldorf. You will be responsible for all HR related matters at the manufacturing facility. This position is providing great internal customer support and driving HR functional excellence and process improvement. You play an integral role in all HR-related processes: boosting the organization’s & people’s growth, ensuring a great employee experience, and enabling managers to coach and lead productive teams. Your reporting line is the Global HR Director.

Your main tasks and duties

  • Responsibility for all operative HR Management related activities at the site inclusive of providing general HR advice and support to managers and employees on all aspects of human resources and to ensure compliance with all relevant rules and regulations
  • Liaising with works councils and leading negotiations at the manufacturing site
  • Establish talent acquisition and management processes to improve application management, candidate experience and most of all, guarantee a magnificent candidate journey
  • Partner with hiring managers, manage, drive and own full cycle recruiting across various departments and business units, from interviews to contracts
  • Consult all functions in regard to organizational design and changes, e.g. due to new business fields, to ensure efficient management structures and HR processes
  • Identify training needs based on individual and departmental needs and develop annual training calendar
  • Make sure the site is staffed with the right employees and qualification to drive the change processes
  • Labour law issues, such as contract design, warnings, social plan, restructuring measures
  • Leading a team of four qualified HR employees


  • Degree in human resources, business administration or law with specialization in human resources
  • More than 10 years of experience in leading human resources disciplines including compensation practices, organizational effectiveness, employee relations, diversity, and performance management in a larger organization, at least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Working experience in an international company is mandatory as well as being experienced in dealing and collaborating with works councils
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus
  • Profound knowledge in the areas of labour law
  • Excellent communication skills written and spoken in both English and German
  • Binding and diplomatic manner, ability to build relationships at all levels within the organisation
