Strategy & Development Consultant (m/f/d)

Our partner is an internationally active company with more than 130 years of experience in the production of chemical products and is one of the globally successful producers of inorganic chemical specialities. As a market leader in the fields of barium carbonate and strontium carbonate as well as sodium percarbonate, the company supplies customers in over 65 countries worldwide. 500 employees work at 4 locations: Germany, Spain and Mexico. In addition to the large production sites in Bad Hönningen and Monterrey, there is a headquarters administration in Hanover and a refinery in Spain. After the spin-off of the business from a larger chemical group, the aim is to build a powerful organisation that defends the leading competitive positions and implements an ambitious and sustainable strategy for further growth as an independent company.

Your area of responsibility is technology processes and projects with a direct reporting line to the CEO. In the course of developing and building the new organisational structure, you will take on strategic and operational tasks. As a sparring partner of the Executive Board, you will play a key role in the development of the company for 500 colleagues.

Your challenging job with a lot of creative freedom

  • Leading project teams on various tasks within the restructuring process
  • Implementation and management of projects according to ITIB, including EPC projects
  • Process responsibility - in particular lead of process optimisation for both commercial and technical processes
  • Preparation of risk assessments and analysis during the bidding and execution phase
  • Management reporting including recommendations for action for the board of directors
  • Project coordination as well as independent preparation and follow-up of overarching projects
  • This is the toolbox you bring with you
  • Successfully completed business or technical studies
  • Relevant experience in project leadership and project management in an international, manufacturing, medium-sized environment, ideally also in an auditing company or consulting firm
  • Practical experience in unit set-up and commissioning management
  • Expertise in the design, implementation and improvement of technological processes
  • Commercial understanding and entrepreneurial thinking, in particular cost, result and target orientation in terms of current corporate objectives
  • Strong analytical skills and willingness to challenge and optimise the status quo
  • Very good problem-solving skills and willingness to make decisions, also in precedent-setting cases
  • Experience with one of the major ERP systems, e.g. SAP
  • Fluency in written and spoken English, Spanish is a plus and you are always ready to work on the floor to round off your skillset
