Global FP&A Lead for Supply Chain (m/f/x)

Our client is an innovative technological market leader and part of the biggest industrial companies in the world. The global head quarter for one business unit with over 9.000 employees is located in Celle. To further growth our client is looking for a Global FP&A Lead for Supply Chain (m/f/x)

Role Summary:

The role of the Senior FP&A Staff Manager is to lead and manage the Supply Chain Finance team to partner with Supply Chain Business Leads to plan, budget and analyse financial results to support strategic and tactical aspects of the business.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Manage staff of 3-to-4 FP&A Analysts to perform month-end close accounting duties specific to Supply Chain financials, including some Stat-to-GAAP adjusting entries
  • Develop a strong, functional finance team by organizing and distributing roles and tasks for optimal utilization and development of staff with high quality output
  • Foster business partner relationships with Supply Chain Business Leads, to provide insight and understanding into the financial performance of the function
  • Working with Business Leads, determine key business drivers affecting KPI’s for the Supply Chain Team, communicating plant performance to the Leaders through periodic KPI reporting
  • Provide Capital Planning justifications and appraisals for the business unit
  • Review financial performance with Business Leads. Develops action plans, communicates resource needs and updates forecasts as required. Provides data mining/ad hoc reporting as required
  • Evaluate strategic approach to manufacturing footprint decisions, and vendor expansion into best cost countries.
  • Perform Cost Structure Review to understand the impact of varying manufacturing schedules and assist in make vs. buy decisions
  • Act as advisor on operational efficiencies
  • Participates in and provides input to S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) process, ensuring demand signature is consistent with financial plan
  • Provide FX exposure management while ensuring business understands implications
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies
  • Drive Compliance Monitoring at all levels in the business unit
  • Ensure global FP&A standardized procedures and processes are followed
  • Identify, communicate and support Financial System/Process/Reporting improvement opportunities and projects
  • Actively construct a relationship with local and regional EFO and Cost Accounting functions, working collaboratively to drive continuous improvement for the wider finance organization
  • Provide financial awareness training (both formal and informal) to Supply Chain team members


  • College degree in Finance, Accounting or other relevant Business field
  • Minimum 7 Years professional experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, preference for specific Supply Chain Finance experience
  • Previous supervisory / managerial experience
  • Experience with SAP and Hyperion / Essbase is preferred
