From the regional headquarters in Cologne, the Central/Eastern and in the future Northern Europe region with several thousand employees is still being managed. In the newly created position of People Development and Training Manager (m/f/d), you will be responsible for all activities related to HR development and executive coaching.

Your varied and challenging sphere of activity

  • Strategic and operational collaboration with the HR Manager on a variety of people development programs across all business units
  • Close cooperation and constant exchange with the talent team in order to create customized development measures for high potentials and high performers and to offer suitable leadership, coaching and mentoring programs
  • The development as well as the provision of 1:1 and team coaching support throughout the group of companies
  • Technical and disciplinary leadership responsibility for three employees
  • Developing training strategies, enhancing existing programs, implementing additional digital learning formats
  • Questioning and updating current L&D practices in leadership and behavioral development to stay on top of current and emerging trends in performance improvement, or visionary
  • Provide a dashboard of relevant software metrics to map ROI, program evaluation, and participant progress
  • Collaborate extensively with the entire HR team to successfully execute the group's people strategy together
  • Demonstrate initiative in cultural transformation, leading by example and enthusiasm in bringing new and innovative ideas to the business
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders within the group, you like to spin yarns and build a strong network within the organization

This is what you bring to the table in terms of experience and qualifications

  • A degree with a focus on human resources, (business) psychology, business administration, or even education. A specialization in Learning and Development could be an advantage, but is not a prerequisite.
  • Expertise in business coaching, acquired either through coaching hours or accredited training (additional qualification as "train the trainer" or business coach / coach)
  • Proven learning & development expertise in a similar or comparable environment e.g. retail, digital or FMCG sector
  • Several years of practical experience in HR development, including at least two years in technical and disciplinary leadership of a small team
  • Experience in using psychometric techniques for people development; either as a practitioner or working with external service providers
  • Passion and enthusiasm for sharing best practices, training and methodologies that positively impact individual and organizational performance
  • A proven track record of delivering digital training for personal as well as professional development and leadership training that is primarily focused on performance development and aligned with business objectives
  • Strong project management skills, including work planning and managing multiple tasks/projects to achieve consistent results at all times
  • You are passionate about developing your teammates, while inspiring the entire team with your enthusiastic attitude
  • You are keen to keep up to date with new trends, techniques and methodologies, ensuring that the learning content you deliver is based on the latest knowledge and technology and is forward-thinking.
  • You have the talent to adapt to a multigenerational and multicultural workforce and therefore the ability to present at different levels to different stakeholders within the company as well as to deliver learning content. In this regard, effective communication appropriate to the target audience is a priority for you
  • You like to be on the road and enjoy working with different people at different locations within Germany
