Technical Sales Engineer (m/f/d)

Your role:

As a Technical Sales Engineer in the field of automation systems, you will act as an interface between technology and sales. You are a visionary thinker who wants to break up existing structures and break new, innovative ground. Your tasks will include both technical and sales activities, which you will carry out in your home office and in the field.

Your area of responsibility:

  • Technical consulting and solution development: analysing customer requirements and developing customised automation solutions involving software and hardware.

  • Market penetration and cold calling: Identifying new business opportunities and actively acquiring new customers in exciting sectors such as chemicals, pharmaceuticals and mechanical engineering.

  • Project management: Management and coordination of projects from conception to implementation in co-operation with the automation sales manager.

  • Sales strategy and customer support: Developing sales strategies and building long-term customer relationships through excellent support and regular communication.

  • Product presentations and training: Conducting workshops, training and product presentations for customers and attending trade shows and events.

  • Teamwork and growth: Supporting the existing sales team and actively helping to expand the team to a total of six people.

The requirements profile:

  • Technical qualification: Completed technical studies, for example in industrial engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or a comparable qualification.
  • Expertise: Sound knowledge of drive and automation technology, ideally supplemented by practical experience in software development and commissioning.
  • Professional experience: Several years of professional experience in the field of automation systems, preferably with extensive project experience.
  • Sales professional: Experience in acquiring new customers and developing technical solutions, coupled with a strong sales orientation and the ability to present technical concepts convincingly.
  • Language skills: Fluency in written and spoken English to communicate effectively in an international environment.
  • Initiative and work ethic: High level of initiative and the ability to work in a structured and goal-orientated manner.
  • Communication and customer orientation: Strong communication skills within the organisation and with existing and potential partners.
  • Mobility and flexibility: Willingness to travel regularly (approx. 50% in northern and eastern Germany) and flexibility to work from home.
  • IT skills: Experience in using CRM systems for customer management and support.
